I realized that there are some people that you see quite often that are the most amazing people in the world. I do not know them very well, but their will to live, pray, and strive to keep optimistic spirits surpass any type of physical human accomplishment. I speak of Kevin Healey. As a fellow Otter of the same class and living 3 floors above in Sorin College, I did not come to see the struggles that he had gone through and are still enduring. I came to know him on the surface, and did not look deeper. I regret not being able to get to know him, for his chances of attending ND as a full time student are slim. But Kevin, you will be in my prayers. You are a true fighter and champion. May God bless you. I hope to see you in the fall.
